Life is better connected! To grow spiritually, you have to be connected relationally.

Why groups

We weren’t made to do life alone

That’s why we want everyone connected with 2 to 12 others in real, life-giving community. Groups are where you grow spiritually and build authentic relationships. Just show up, join in and be real!

Questions

Community Group FAQs

What is a Community Group?

Community Groups are small gatherings of 2 to 12 people, whether couples, singles or a mix of both, who meet in homes, in the community or online. These groups commit to spending a set amount of time together to pursue authentic relationships and spiritual growth.

A great group balances relational connection with studies that challenge members to grow spiritually. Most groups also take on a “mission” to make a difference in the lives of others. A typical meeting includes time for social connection, study and prayer.

When and where do groups meet?

Groups typically meet about twice a month for 1.5 to 2 hours, usually in homes, with locations based on the leader’s home or a selected host home. Most groups take breaks during the holidays and summer.

What types of groups do you offer?

We offer a variety of groups. As soon as we have a leader, co-leader and location, we can launch groups of all shapes and makeups. For example:

Couples’ groups: just married (within the last two years), married without children, married with children.
Men’s groups: various stages of life, “Iron & Ale” groups.
Women’s groups: various stages of life, moms’ groups.

Can I try out a group before joining?

Yes! Some people like to “try before they buy.” Short-term groups meet for four to eight weeks, depending on the topic.

Is childcare provided?

Childcare isn’t provided during group meetings. If a group can’t provide childcare so the adults can truly focus, Connect Church will help with babysitting costs (at a set rate) so you can attend regular group meetings.
